hello,I'm in Ohio and have a question about disqualifying tenants based on prior evictions.  Is is proper or legal to state that "applicants with prior evictions will not be considered"?

What is the legal period of time we are required to keep old tenant records & documents?  And does that vary by state? I'm in Michigan if it matters.
