I plan on investing in multi family homes. But I was wondering if it was worth it to get my real estate license? I know I can get access to the MLS and more but is it worth it?

Just curious if anyone has pursued being a real estate agent while staying active duty? Were you able to juggle both? Are you still an agent and/or active duty? 

What is everyone's view on rentals in big cities vs out in the suburbs? Which would present more opportunites or would be easier to grow? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each.Thanks in advance.
