I travel for work and love it; with that I'm often in cities that I feel have great potential to invest in - but I'm a novice and need to learn more about markets, costs associated, how local / state gov't treat landlords vs. tenants, etc... before I invest.

I'm fairly new to the business, wouldn't call myself an investor yet as I have only flipped a few houses with modest success. I live in Tucson, Arizona where I was born & raised. I currently work as a tax preparer & part time bookkeeper for a small CPA firm in town. I work full time from January - May & part time for the rest of the year. This has left me time to explore the idea of real estate investing during my off hours.
A few years ago I bought a single family home with a friend as a rental investment, but he did all the legwork. Now I want to learn how to research and buy properties on my own. I am interested in multifamily units, from quadplexes up to apartment complexes.
