I'm an engineer by profession. I live in CA, and I currently own 3 apartment complexes in TX, for a total of ~200 units. I started investing in out-of-state single family properties in 2011, accumulated quite a few since then, and am now in the process of selling them all and focus full time on large multi-family properties.
