I have what I consider modest goals until retirement towards REI. I really don't want to be a landlord. I want to get to the point of doing at least 3 rehab flips a year before retirement in 2016 at the age of 59 1/2.
Then I will live off of the flips and 401 benefits.
Rather than sell our first home, we decided to rent it out when when we purchased a second home. That was almost 15 years ago. After some life changes and selling all 4 properties, I'm more focused than ever to reinvest and resume growing my rental business.
