I have a family friend who says he wants to mentor me into real estate. I don't know how sincere his offer is so for just in case purposes I am going to begin learning on my own and through various sources and people as much possible that way I can still pursue real estate investing in case his word isn't bond.

I am from Houston and have lived here my whole life. I have some experience with rehabbing properties and like to buy and hold. I would really like to learn about wholesaling and learn about new ways to buy property. I am a Licensed Realtor and would like to focus on working with more Investors.
Serious investor but unfortunately, a complete newbie looking to get started. Prefer to close my first deal with advice from veterans, rather than do it myself.
