I'm a chemical engineer currently working in the energy industry. I am looking to generate extra income by investing in rental properties for steady cash flow. Eventually I would like to quit working for "the man" and work for myself solely as a real estate investor.

My wife and I have purchased our first investment property. We are in the process of renovating to create our first rental. We intend on building up our portfolio more each year initially through duplexes, tri-plexes and four plexes then ultimately apartment complexes.
