I currently own and live on the one side of my duplex. Bought it late 1995 for less than 25% of what it is currently worth today. Renovations/maintenance/repairs over the years has cost approx. 20% over of what the initial value of the property was at time of purchase. But, on the flip side, the duplex is in pristine, remodeled condition....
