I have bought and sold 2 houses. I have flipped one. I was invested in a REIT for seven years but had to liquidate at a loss after 8 years. My wife and I had work place injuries . I was able to get industrial retirement and military retirement. She is trying to go back to work. With a five year break it is difficult.
