I'm looking to buy one or two small multi-family properties every year over the next few years and hold on to them forever. As a newbie to real estate investing, I'm open to all facets and strategies of real estate investing. At this point, I'm just trying to learn as much as possible.
I am a real estate investor and deal sponsor, serial entrepreneur, podcaster, and physician. I live in the Chicago suburbs but am looking for 100 plus unit B and C class apartment buildings in multiple secondary and tertiary markets. I also have an interest in learning about mobile home park and industrial real estate investing.
I've been investing for over 10 yrs. now. Pretty much done it all from mobile homes to rehabs to lease options to rentals to sub2s to wholesales, etc.
Now I'm focusing on multi-family properties and other passive income streams like my ATM business.
Our first real estate purchased was a disaster. We over paid and was clueless. In the 1990s I enrolled in a NJ license real estate course. Wow I learned a lot. This course changed our lives. 2001 we sold our disaster and purchase our bi level after doing our homework & purchased a condo in 2002 for cash for my late mother.
