At some point, the 30 fixed consumer mortgage rate for primary residence will come back down to 5.5% range (perhaps within 6-18 months), followed by further reduction down to 4.5% 12-18 months after that).....Yeah, so 6-36 month horizon from today.

You should be able to match the key numbers ( rent revenue, real estate taxes, insurance, mortgage interest) that you provided with you tax documents to the Schedule E, depending on how your tax preparer reported the bathroom renovation you may not have seen a large reduction in income for this.

@Chelsea John-Williams Instead of a weight limit, I typically advertise potentially pet-friendly rentals as "pets determined on a per case basis".All other qualifiers being equal I'd much rather have an older 60lb mild mannered dog than a 25lb yapping, high strung, unhousebroken puppy.Pet fees/deposits are generally whatever the market will bear.

If you stick with the 30 year, the tenant is paying for it...and that too is free.Besides, the supposed savings from the reduction in total interest doesn't come into play until year 16....but it really doesn't.

Hello,So the inspection report came back with these red flags, the offer for the house was 300k, then i asked for 25k reduction and they take care of all the hazardous stuff but they said ok for 25k but you take care of everything.Anyone know how would approximate be to:1) put chimney flue2)do knob and tube rewireing (i heard it will be costly around 30k)3) change furnace4)pluming and asbestos (not sure if I should do anything for the asbestor)any help will be much
