It's the long-term play that you own a property 1-4 blocks from campus that will ride the market prices which are surely going to come back up to historicals here.

With inflation and worse landlord friendly courts costs have increased but increased rent has covered it.Honestly, I would focus on strong cash flow or highly desirable neighborhoods, manage well, and enjoy the ride.

I'll continue to do my biannual inspections and monthly drive-bys, I've invested too much to let my properties ride for a whole year without my eyes on them.

The property also link to a mountain trail network for hiking, riding, motor sports etc.I am trying to gather information to see how viable this type of STR is/can be and and info from more experienced folks in this field.

And you would get a huge adrenaline high for about five minutes.On the humorous side, I can't wait to hear what @Ben Leybovich says about pigs, Waldo's, and sub-$30K houses after landlording a converted motel in a one-horse town with an all-bills-paid tenant base!
