Even highly recommended GCs like to make bad decisions when left to their own devices.I had used the same GC for 8 years, but had to fire him from a project about a year ago, because he decided to stretch himself too thin, or mismanaged his money, or something.

NY State law says a mandatory minimum 5 day grace period.I am so glad my government can make my business decisions for me. 

It was a decision I will not regret.

I have another part time job, so I’m somewhat flexible as to when I make that decision, but would like to be fairly stable before taking the “plunge”.  

I also don't have much time to travel to another state to physically look at a property before making a decision on whether or not to buy it.
