We have one house with an Oil furnace and it's harder to maintain, let alone dealing with an oil tank buried in the ground and making sure it's filled.We took out the baseboard electric in some of our places and replaced it with pocket electric fan wall heaters by Cadet, their best model, and were quite pleased. 

If your property management agreement states that the management company will do certain things within certain time frames and then they do not follow through on those things, it is grounds for cancelling the agreement and depending on what it is, possible grounds for a formal complaint with the licensing authority.

But with some you can pay less and do the a la carte approach if you're willing to do some of the work yourself such as the marketing and booking using VRBO or Airbnb, for example, and have the PM handle the "boots on the ground" stuff like cleaning, maintenance, check-in's/out's, etc.

Once you assemble your basic team with these 4 members (and more as time goes on) , you can manage from just about anywhere and have the boots on the ground to be able to have professionals out to take care of issues!

Honestly Id' say the biggest benefit I've found to multis is that they allowed me to f*** up alot without driving me into the ground.

Hello BP Community,I was wondering if anyone if the DFW area has experience purchasing and selling older homes that has no ground wires installed.The property I'm looking at was built in 1957 and currently has no ground wires built in.

First you will need boots on the ground in the form of a Realtor and Property Management.  

Sounds like grounds for eviction to me.
