I see myself wanting to do multi family, but I want to start of single family, and get some cash flow.

We lived in a single family and couldn't  stand paying mortgage out of our pockets so we sold property and purchases MFR.

Many single families won't cash flow when you put that much into them.

Don’t do like half the dopes do on here .. brag about cashing in your 401k to buy a 250,000$ single family home  that cash flows $73 a month ... then a month later post in the landlording section about how the tenant trashed the place is selling crack and won’t leave so  now your broke . 

I own my primary home here and rent out a single family as well. 

I have one condo rental and just purchased/moved to a single family home.

Dear BP Members,I have a small portfolio of single family rental homes in Charlotte, NC.

We are looking to make our first purchase we are just curious as to what advice y’all would have on buying a single family or multi family property to begin with.

I am relocating to California from the mid-west, where we are used to living in newer, bigger homes and we cannot live comfortably in the small, older, expensive homes in the peninsula, SFO city or near Silicon Valley...

Currently have 1 rental and getting another single family this week.
