Hello,I found in my area that when real estate is sold or even rented it needs a clean Certificate of Occupancy first. 

What is the status with lead certification?

In our experience a requesting an updated certificate semi-annually is a good practice.

Let them know that the first check will not be issued until you receive it back (along with their insurance certificate, but they really shouldn't even be allowed on the job site without the cert).  

@George W.So in Nj, if a certificate of occupancy inspection calls for the replacement of a GFI outlet, and the inspector doesn’t require a permit, does it still have to be done by a licensed electrician?

Therefore no matter what path you take, whether it be the degree that is on your graduation certificate hanging on your wall, or something completely different, you should still have the basic tools needed to succeed at any job.
