There are too many holding costs involved in real estate.Interest, insurance, real estate taxes, mowing, snow removal, electricity to name a few.I would also suggest taking a weekend / week long trip to the area that you want to invest in.

It might not seem like a big deal and may even be a little exciting at first but it'll soon become a complete hassle - especially if it requires 3 or 4 trips to the same unit in order to collect.
