The question isn't what is the best loan (still researching that) but what are the repercussions (other than noses bent out of shape) for shifting gears in the last inning and going to another lender.

Karen Chenaille It really comes down to what features you are looking to streamline.

However, I think things could shift very easily if rates start retracting in the slightest.

It might save me having to quit claim property back into my name if my mortgage company decides to notice the shift in ownership.

I got my undergrad degree in mechanical engineering  and worked in that field for 5 years before shifting to real estate full time. 

You never know when an unexpected cost will come up, or if the market shifts and you have to pay extension fees on the loan.

HERE IS THE CAVEAT: I'm particularly intrigued by this shift in travelers/STR interest in "remote" or "off-the-grid" type locations that are NOT in an established/developed destination town. 

But to be fair, risk management becomes very tricky when the goalposts are constantly shifting and it's easy to see those mistakes now but not as easy to predict what the Fed will do.

Also, my wife has family there so for those reasons I'm shifting locations considering investing in Ft.
