If you make the investment and install solar onto your rental(s), you would need to enter into a "Purchase Power Agreement" (PPA) with your tenants; But only if your state allows it. 

As long as you like your job and/or industry and could do it for the next 15 years, what you are doing would work perfect for your plan.As you gain experience, maybe you can move into more units per purchase or start to BRRRR.

I currently own one STR in the mountains outside of Denver and am looking to purchase additional investment properties.  

I am still doing the same work but set up the LT and LLC to provide improved asset protection but obviously want to structure my business so that I have both asset protection while maximizing tax benefits that i can.To be fair to my CPA he didn’t say this would be an issue, he is in the process of doing research to verify the impact of the organizational structure changes and I was looking to educate myself in parallel obviously hoping my research and my CPA’s landed in the same place.

@James Martin - Have you considered working with a dedicated virtual assistant who can learn your processes and provide general admin support?
