Research the hell out of anyone who will play a role in buying or not buying a property.

If you go in offering a price you know that you're not going to commit to and play on the sellers urgency/distress, I hate to say but I'm glad it didn't work.

I recently moved back home to the Northern VA area after forgoing playing overseas for a SE role in FinTech.

Schools, shopping, infrastructure, and other factors play into this.

And rent prices, and property prices, are rising at a rapid rate year to year (probably a big boost once Raiders start playing here).The company that bought my business have me under contract to continue running it until mid-2022.

@Anthony Paul Guglielmi Can you just start rehabbing some of the other parts of the basement that don't encroach on their storage first and let it play out from there?

Those numbers in particular(maybe I'm missing something) show that playing the long game can lead to greater profits.

Whatever you do, make sure ego doesn't play a part of it.

If you play games and screw over sellers I truly hope you get sued.
