You have to find out where you are, where you want to be, and then learn how to implement your plan with the systems of RE that are in place.By creating an account and asking questions, you have started, learn everything you can and you'll do great.I would start by listening to all the BP podcasts, reading this forum daily, writing down all your questions and then finding answers. slowly build a game plan you think you can accomplish and start taking small actionable steps towards your goals.

The cost of implementing sub-metering will depend on how the property is plumbed (i.e. is there already a separate run to each unit from a mechanical room; are their T-lines running down the centre of each floor; or does the plumbing wander from one unit to the next (common in larger homes that have been converted into multiple units).
