I've read case law (not in my state) where a Landlord attempted to evict the tenant for failing to maintain renters insurance and the court ruled against the Landlord.

I attempted to get a house under contract last week.....they said that they wanted 12-15k.....i offered 9k......of course she declined but thats where the numbers made sense. 

It disincentivizes us from even attempting to comply with the regulation, and thus we won't do it.  

I wouldn't attempt to fix the issues. 

This is my first attempted purchase.

As I moved through college the feelings would be harder and harder to push down and in 2005 I attempted to enter the workforce.

What Can i Do to Stop this Process of My Uncle Attempting to Take the Home from My Mother?

In all likelihood there will ultimately be some regulation, but nothing remotely close to what the special counsel attempted to invoke.

Since my first (and semi successful attempt) I haven't done a ton more.
