Hello Bigger pockets community.Apparently my initial welcome to the community was frowned upon because I mentioned the desire to "build partnerships".

We looked for the highest home value areas and then looked for deals in those areas--also made sure that it was in a desirable area for close proximity (but not too close) to military bases.

Home is, 2016, new construction 3/3 in a highly desired neighborhood.

Even on the high side, it's only a fraction of a percent.To me, it would make sense that the referenda is to make the school better, which makes it more desirable and the market response would be an increase in rent.

My fiance and I have been trying to find a 2-3 fam to house-hack in one of the most hottest areas in New Jersey (Montclair). Every offer we have put in, gets outbid by 30-60k over asking and we wont settle for any oth...

What's the one thing; that burning desire you can reference when the going gets tough and you feel like hanging up the gloves?

I so want to just jump in, but I'm afraid that one wrong decision will completely destroy my desire to invest.

Up and coming neighborhood near something really desirable.   5 down payments at 20k each on 100k houses.  

@Dan Waskey - In my experience it is extremely difficult to find deals with enough meet on the bones, especially in desirable areas, but it is possible. 

I have always had a desire to pursue Real Estate investing, but it wasn't until I read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" last week, that really lit a fire in me.My investment goals are to start out in wholesaling and then proceed to rental properties in the hopes of attaining steady cash flow and getting out of the "rat race" in order to leave a financial legacy that I can pass on to my family.I look forward to connecting with you all.Blessings,Ray Nicole
