Yes, for your scenario all of the half section and the house on site and all outbuildings could be exchanged in a 1031 for any other type of investment real estate.

I am also a veteran and would love advice and tips on ways I could use that to help.

Site size, view, amenities, outbuildings, finishes, etc. are ignored completely... and these matter.
