None of the tenants are college students.

Here’s the problem: we have only fair credit (around 699) and a large student loan, which we’re unsure if this will “count” toward our debt- to-income ratio.

I am still in the process of paying off student loans and a line of credit at the moment and cannot contribute to the down payment.

@Ryan Rea hey ryan, yea there is something wrong with how the agent is marketing the property. i lived in torrington for a while and have rentals in the central CT area. my phone never ever stops ringing. i get too many calls for me to handle and i’m probably at the top crest of the market rental rate. i use craigslist and apartments.com. i also post in specific groups on facebook too. like i have a property next to ccsu, so i post in the student group pages. i have never used an agent and probably never will. let me know if i can help in any way.

Major renovations took place between March and May, right now I am living in the house and plan on renting it out to student renters in August.

Just talked to the bank and they said I’ll need a co-sign for my mortgage as I’m a student and don’t have a steady income.

My 4000 sqft 7 bed student rooming house from the 1860s is about 450 a month for insurance.

Personally, I went to community college and all my credits transferred to a local state university, and I worked as a bartender all 4 years college = no student debt.

I am a full-time college student, studying Marketing, with 1.5-2 years left to go.

Currently paying down my student loans, should be done with them in September or October.
