It just so happens that in addition to time and money savings, they're supposedly good for the environment, and at the minimum, utilizes some of the surplus of containers that are sitting in our bays/harbors.I'm interested in finding out about more on the subject, and to hear any recipes for success for installing these.

Maybe you want to sit on the fence for a year, great keep the HELOC at $0 and don't pay interest on it.For long-term things, which it sounds like you have in mind, cash out refinancing is generally the better fit.

I could sit here and argue that by spending a few extra dollars on quality finishes helps sell my house faster too as you argue plain and cheaper sells faster (which in my area, I would make more each and every time against your strategy).You also posted this: "You can always sell them a full blown rehab after they purchase the house, the way THEY like it.

Depending on if I choose to rent or flip the house, the rehab could go up or down, but it is in an established & quiet neighborhood with great access to shopping, Costco, restaurants, the Air Force base.
