thanks for the tips guys...i'm thinking about lightly sanding the affected areas and then painting to match the red brick...i'm sure it won't be a perfect match, but it'll be a lot less distracting than white

Albeit to a lesser extent, it reminds me of Waltham: for a long time a rough and dirty city positioned perfectly and surrounded by Boston Brahmin towns.Yet...property values are still low, rents are low, and it still has a reputation for being a rough now-city to live in.
