Given the almost socialist mentality expressed in the opinions that I see, I suspect you are catching blowback by folks who probably believe you should be allowing rents for $100/month, onerous rent controls, and insane landlord requirements intended to make it harder to get non-paying tenants out.  

I have also ended up in Brussels and am doing property development together with a business partner in Brussels.Interesting market :-)How have you found the market to be like and how has it been treating you?

I'm currently attaining a Masters in Counseling - think academic, not mental health.

The first step is mental and it seems like you're already down the right path.

This is an alternative to a developer having to take out numerous individual properties within a large property purchase that they intend to sell in individual parts.

I would love to offer my resources and insight as an agent as well as further develop myself an an investor.  

A lot of new developments planned by the city over the next few years.

(multifamily); to buy and rent is where I would like to develop my business in real estate investment.

There is nowhere left to develop south of the George Bush.
