The owners at the time did not alert me to the change in occupancy and I had to find out about this change on my own thru random inspections of my own.Going forward, with future deals where the units are occupied, what strategies should I utilize to help ensure that I'm not taken by surprise when tenants up and leave.

However, all this is a bit misleading- inflation also has a part in this equation- getrification, foreign investment money, etc. etc.Every strategy is good- just depends on what works for you.

Currently hold no assets.4) Holding 300K in professional school student loan debt at 6.8%, plan to refinance perhaps at 5%I'm trying to figure out my strategy for avoiding taxes on my high salary/income that will start soon, and hoping to invest aggressively in the next few years in order to set myself up for passive income in the future.
