Also, time is money in their business, so if someone is simply shopping them into the 9th hr, it can be a significant waste of time as well - it's nothing personal to the borrower and lenders understand that investors need to shop at times to get the best rates and terms they can for their investment, but they just have to make sure they get something for the time spent on a file.Hope this makes sense!

I've had more trouble with non students to be honest with you.You may find it harder to find insurance- I had to shop around a bit since most insurance companies I talked to refused to insure a place where students might be living.

Being north of 30th St is also advantageous: it's where more of the businesses are, where city hall is, and closer to some shopping areas (Pathmark grocery store is at 40th or so) and also Weehawken.
