While we are are technically independent contractors we impose very clear guidelines on our associates on what is not only an acceptable way to conduct business but a more professional way which clearly outlines forbidding the use of bandit signs.  

At the time the loan appraisals were conducted, one home was vacant, and my property manager had it boarded up (they do that for all their properties in that area).   

Such conduct is illegal when there has been any judgment issued for a deficiency or during post judgement and proper notice has not been given.

Honest business people will use a land-line or cell phone to conduct business.

In any type of transaction, such as whole loan pool sales, (or real estate) where due diligence is conducted after a bid is accepted, then the final price of sale is not determined until after that due diligence is done.

Need to check with your city and county as well as the state to ensure your business doesn't fall into some licensing issue (as to how you conduct business)
