@Brice Childers Gilpin still allows STRs for non-owner occ, with a permit and some requirements like having someone on call 24-7 to deal with any complaints, no parties/events without a special use permit, etc.

We were in contact with a Redfin agent who also has a STR in the same building and gave us addresses that allows STR in Honolulu.

We offered to prorate the rent and also offered to allow them to break the lease with no penalty if they felt they wanted to.
