@Viola Fisher if you have documentation of that communication and direct lender you will want to contact bank to share and see what if anything else hey can do and prevent loan officer from doing this to you (or them again) if it was a broker I would contact the lender they sold it to with the same information and hope they will assist you at a lower cost.Regardless you should be able to reuse the same appraisal if done that recently.

Should we just collect a little extra each month until they have submitted the full last month's rent (and of course have the specific payments and what they're for outlined in the lease)? 

Before even seeing the property, I've done my homework, run the numbers, and am ready to submit the offer after walking it.

I tell them if they like what they see in the video they can submit an application, and if appoved they may view the property in person.
