Kitchen of the property Looks fine.

For example, the badly damaged kitchen cabinets you see in the before pictures are the same cabinets in the after pictures.

Ugly shaggy orange carpet, outdated wallpaper and kitchen. 2Bd + 2Ba. 

Single family is one house keeping unit (shared kitchen etc). 

I can find better accommodation for the price compare to hotels plus I get better amenities (full kitchen, etc)I'm wondering what some of the positives and negatives of each are compared to each other.

This is just for the kitchen, living room and master bath in a two bedroom unit.  

I looked this one up and the roof is 7 yrs old (replaced in 2008).I also got an education from my roofer about how to do a quick estimate before I bring him in to do a real estimate.They "say" lots of updates ( like kitchen and W/H) but I don't see HVAC included as being updated.

The kitchen needs a remodel (cabinets and appliances with some paint, mostly).
