If you signed a lease with a party who doesn't own the property but has powers (executor, trustee, etc.), you may still be contractually obligated to the terms of the lease.

After, I receive, I set a time to resign or provide a checklist for move out inspection...FYI...I use automatic renewal leases on most tenants after 1 year...only requires 30 day notice for either party at lease end...

thats the part i hate about this business. sometimes its all got to be a trumped up balloon project just to make a little place to stay. these properties in question are actually going to the tax sale. there is a huge cluster of them going up. apparently a bunch of people cant jump through all these hoops.

You can do so for more transparency but if you trust the other party or they trust you, it shouldn't be an issue.They would just write me a check for my cut once everything was said and done and then issue the 1099.
