The main driver of all is development in the central corridor around Saint Louis University and Cortex (tech center), up to Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

It's great to hear success stories from real estate investors in central Illinois. 

Meaning they probably won't make the best leasing agents...I have a property that is in Central Oregon that I manage myself from Portland, and its been going okay.

Most RE companies would be happy to have you aboard because it doesn't necessarily cost them anything if they are a 100% commission company.Note: I am an agent in Central PA and just getting into RE investing.Hope that helps.
