Hello BP communityWhat would be the best source of financing for a duplex that has one habitable unit and other is not habitable due to fire damage.The habitable unit likely needs some updating as well.

@Charlie Moore Rich Dad Poor Dad really changed my views on my spending habits even being a little tight with money.

If this is the case, then the tenant cannot legally terminate the lease or indefinitely withhold rent.On the other hand, if the report does state a danger, then the landlord may be in breach of habitability.
