Hi there,sounds like they are hiding something for sure. if you really want it just do an analysis on the worst case scenario and see if you can deal with it. if it's too much for you then it might be best to walk away.

@Traci Cameron sounds like the house sustained severe damage from a fire inside and is currently not livable. probably selling as is and the house needs extensive work.

It depends on if you are talking  a single tenant building or a retail building with multiple tenants in it.Since you said proportionate it sounds like a tenant in a building with other tenants.

You can do the research, join a local apartment association or hire a PM.If that sounds doable to you, you can certainly search online for a property, but if you find a good agent, they should be able to steer you to a property that will serve you well as well as point you in the right direction for any management advice you might need.Best of luck!
