My response is, "I'm sorry to hear that, I'll be by on the first to collect rent.

They are telling the current owner that he can not apply because he bought the place and knew that it was a single at time of purpose but that as the buyers, we could argue for financial hardship because no one would buy a 5100 sq ft SFR.

I voted no because our purpose is the upkeep and maintenance of our common properties.

Why don't you just get a general purpose loan?

I did the same last year in a situation where the seller was responsible for getting her family to move out...almost turned into an eviction.One thing you may want to consider is that although the 30k is in escrow, you can't technically touch it even if the seller passes the deadline.
