Being a lifelong local, I know Philly value can change on a street by street basis.

Belmont has a huge amount of duplexes and is really popular with investors.

But as you point out, the financing aspect makes things much more difficult, and it's partly the reason why they are not very popular.  

My wife and I are looking for our first home and, since the market is super competitive right now, we're trying to think outside of the box whenever we come across a property.The property we have in mind touches both it's frontage street and the street behind it.

I also was planning on filling in the address in the body of the PC "your house at 123 House Street," but same question applies... would a generic card without the specific address of the property be as sufficient?

That said, go out around your city and drive down every street looking for homed that look like they need work.
