Use “bath & kitchen” caulk adhesive when you join a  45 degree corner together, and some screw plates from the bottom to mechanically fasten it as well.

This home has been this way for nearly 80 years and is completely renovated inside with all new mechanicals with 1.5 acres and a large detached garage.What are options for trying to sell this place without running into home inspection issues every time.

I'd agree with all the comments above with emphasis on being sure that the seller/previous landlord notify the residents and provide you with all pertinent documents.
