Attorney's here on BP and your own could shed some light on how often that happens in NJ.Were extensions agreed to or just an understanding that due to HOA dues, your loan contingency would be extended?

I found this site after I suffered from a Britain annuerism and a stroke at age 54.  

I am suffering from analysis paralysis BIG time!

I wouldn't fix a thing unless the house started to suffer cracks in walls and binding doors or windows. 

I have a Lease / Option that needs to be financed by May 1st and I'm not sure the sellers would be willing to extend because the deal/house has 80K in equity in it and they may want to capture that equity by choosing not to extend.  

If I were you I'd be suffering from performance anxiety as well.

The proponents of non-traded REITs and crowdfunding will tell you that they wouldn't suffer from share price volatility the way I did, but I think that's just trying to spin their lack of liquidity into some kind of virtue.  

The only reason it worked is the lenders have agreed to extend their loans.

Be aware though even when "calendar days, as opposed to business days, are stated, when the deadline falls on a Saturday/Sunday it may automatically be extended to 5:00pm Monday (if Monday is not a holiday).

Do these kind of homes generally suffer from a lot of vacancy since the demand will likely be much more sparse?
