You can get up to $1m in coverage for a lot less than you'd pay on that LLC in my experience.

In my experience, you will always have to get a credit check as part of the application process as the lender needs to verify your credit history for anything outside of the norm and to see your credit score.

General rule of thumb for hard money is 25% (plus closing costs) down especially if you don't have a lot of experience.
