Need to see UI benefits stop overpaying people, forbearance extensions stop, eviction blocks lift, foreclosures hit, to really see how markets are affected.

Not to mention roads, water and sewer connections, working telephone, radio and television systems not blocked by spectrum interference, etc.Not to mention the subsidies provided for car transportation, etc.Get a grip and grow up.

From what I've read though, they can require quite a bit of precaution and maintenance, but they can also last a long time if properly cared for.If you have experience with wood/butcher block counter-tops, I'd love to hear about it.

Move to Jersey or adopt the get-the-&%(^-out-of-my-way look at that personally, at 5'4", I've had to adopt for a platitude of reasons.I think you'll need to decide if you truly want an investment property, or a I'm-young-in-my-20s-and-looking-for-a-vibrant-neighborhood property. 300k can buy you a duplex in South Philly, likely shoddily done, 2 blocks from Broad.

@Mary Frangakis, my Melbourne home rents are $1595 for an older block 3/2 with pool, and a newer block 3/2 for $1500.  

Having owned the rental since 1984, met most of the neighbors on the block, and most moved there to escape the crime and congestion of New York City.  

I've read some of your posts and checked out Around The Block Assets.

Even one block can make a HUGE difference.

I just want to probe the depth of the strength of the market.Lastly - I would check the FEMA flood map for properties there too--no downside to looking at this to see for example if you are 1 block over from an existing flood area now that might become one in 10 years.
