It's great that you'll be at the RIREIG meeting this Thursday, I'll be there too so be sure to say hello.Without a specific question it's hard to give any guidance, but if you're looking to buy a multi-family and live in one of the units, the standard advice is to visit the neighborhood during the day, during the night, during the week and on the weekend, so you get a good sense of the area at different times.I'd also say, talk to the neighbors and try to get a sense of what kind of tenants the area & property will attract.

Case in point, in the corporate world I left, unless I "needed" to do something, I was not willing to work nights and weekends towards the end of my career to be the best because at the end of the day, it was a job and not a passion anymore.
