This link shows that you are required to be licensed to appraise real estate in New Jersey:http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/reaFrom that page, you can navigate to the laws concerning appraisal in New Jersey, where you will find the definition of appraisal:http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/Statutes/realesta...Here is a link to a bulletin from your state addressing BPO's, and probably where you got the idea that so long as you state it is not an appraisal, it is not an appraisal:http://www.state.nj.us/dobi/bulletins/blt13_05.pdfHowever, if you read the entire text and not just the part that says you should place a disclaimer statement in a BPO, it clearly says a BPO is an appraisal.

@Sarah PursellHey Sarah,I think that’s a great post because your specific question actually represent much more for business owners point of view.to your ,question in general ,it’s pretty simple.overall,if you think firing her will do more good than bad let her go.otherwise, let her stay.Sarah,my advice for you is approach anything related to your business like a business.try to let your emotions stay out and take it from “she insulted me” which is personal ,to “shes a difficult customer”.Also I’m a believer that there is a way to communicate with anyone and navigate them to our ways of thinking.by what she did for a living and the way shes talking to you sounds like she’s really seeking for power and fill important, she wants to fill in charge .
