From an aesthetics perspective, what are the go-to renovations and supplies needed to be done and is there a particular order to do these renovations (I.e., flooring first, then walls, etc?)?

It's because housing demand is vastly outnumbering supply in Northern Virginia due to our growing population.

Landlords are not required to ensure a renters belongings, so why would you be required to supply an alarm system.

@Carrie Purkeypile If you do not plan to cover your floor, I suggest supplying your tenants with the proper cleaning supplies or equipment necessary to ensure a long life for your hardwood floors.

I have hardware and they supply their own curtains.  

I suggest providing them with some cleaning supplies or equipment to help them keep the place neat and tidy.
