You will wait until dad dies to get your money out of that house---and then HOPE he does not give a life estate to GF.Another scenario--you get married. 

Builder C has left the entire Austin area as a whole and sold all their remaining lots to Builder D (through a sweetheart deal due to because the sales managers for both C and D are married).

I would say a lot more and single some of these people out, but I doubt they want to be singled out, which makes them even more remarkable.Grateful that I live in the USA, which is still the land of opportunity for people like me.And lastly, I am grateful that I had both the good sense and the rare luck to marry way, way up.

And you won't be living with your parents as a married couple, which has its own costs :)

They have just grown up from their lifestyle in the 20s, once they get married and have kids expectations change.

Reading this post reminds me of the dude that has a mistress then leaves his wife to marry the mistress and then the mistress is surprised when the guy cheats on her.
