Lost my job and it's put things in a different light, such as why am I taking financial advice from people around me who are struggling to pay their own bills?

I’ve submitted an offer on a property (light fixer) on Thursday afternoon and STILL haven’t gotten a response to my offer?!

We bought our first two houses as light fixers in desirable areas, as defined by the base Housing Office and at an E-5 O-1-2 housing allowance, that we could improve over the years of our tour.  

Negotiating with family is never easy, and you have to tread lightly.

See unlike most wholesalers that find "leads" (and I use the word "leads" very lightly here... from craigslist, MLS, D4D.. our leads are hot leads, from sellers that beg and beg to buy their house.

I've seen some of those older houses have all kinds of electrical problems like you walk in the bathroom one minute and the lights don't work but after jumping on the floor they do.

There's sure to be house electric for exterior/hallway lights and most MFR owners pay water/sewer (though not always).

Plans are to use existing hot water heating for other parts of building and update lighting to LED to lower bills. 

All new paint, all new light structures, a new kitchen and updates to bathroom and some exterior updates.
