I've already spent hours conversing here on BP and haven't even introduced myself -I'm working in a rather unusual capacity within the real estate industry where my focus is primarily on asset-backed judgments where real estate is involved.

The people who are bringing their offshore money here have a lot of it and it won't take much to find a good lawyer who can steer them clear of these taxes if it is a concern.I think the government has been planning this tax for months, but has just introduced it now as sales have begun to slow.

So I just wanted to introduce myself, explain my situation, and ask for any advice you can give me. 

I was introduced to Bigger Pockets through the podcasts, they are very educational and inspirational.

I am not a 1031 expert but I have introduced that option to potential sellers in the past. 

I realized I have yet to introduce my self!
